We proudly celebrate our 8th year of Día de los Muertos in Garland!

This tradition began in 2017 as a collaboration between the City of Garland, Garland ISD, and community leaders, and continues today with the additional partnership and support of International Leadership of Texas.

2025 Catrín/Catrina Contest

Celebrate our cultura! Enter Garland’s 2025 Día de los Muertos Catrín/Catrina Contest by completing the entry form below.

📸 Important: Submissions must include an image of the contestant in the Catrín/Catrina look they will be wearing during Garland’s Día de los Muertos on Saturday, November 1, 2025.

Deadline to Enter: ~~Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.~~ Wednesday, October 15, at 11:59 p.m.

CALL FOR ARTISTS

Join in celebrating Hispanic culture by participating in Garland Cultural Arts Dia de los Muertos juried art exhibit. All submitted entries must represent the unique style and imagery of Dia de los Muertos, emanating the excitement and spirit of Hispanic traditions.

This show featuring 2D art will be displayed at the Granville Arts Center during the Dia de los Muertos event.

Deadline to submit work is October 7.

CALL FOR ARTISAN VENDORS!

The City of Garland, Texas is seeking artisans for its Dia de Los Muertos Celebration, which will be held Saturday, November 1, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Granville Arts Center (300 N. Fifth Street) and throughout Downtown Garland. The expanded celebration will feature music, entertainment, food trucks, and a children's area.

The deadline to submit your application is October 10.

QUIMIKOZ DEL SON

QUIMIKOZ is a Latin Cumbia–Fusion band rooted in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. They blend the soulful sounds of vallenato accordion with Afro-Cuban cumbia rhythms, reggae grooves, hip-hop layers, and vibrant horn lines to create a versatile, barrio-inspired sound. Their music — including the hit “Llego La Negra” featured in the Amazon Prime TV series Sin Huellas — celebrates Latin culture with energy and heart. Whether on outdoor stages or at private events like quinceañeras, weddings, and festivals, QUIMIKOZ brings color, rhythm, and dance to every performance.
