Named the Dallas Observer's | The Best 5K/Fun Run |Best of Dallas/Readers' Choice 2021

The Garland Guzzler is back!

That's right, you couch potato, sofa spud, barely 15 years removed from your prime athletes, dust off those running or walking shoes, and register for the race today! This physically demanding and mentally strenuous race known as the Garland Guzzler 0.5K will be taking place, live and in-person, for its fifth year!

Race to the Garland Central Library on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 6 to 9 p.m. and cheer on the “athletes,” enjoy the after-race Oktoberfest events, food, beverages from Intrinsic Smokehouse & Brewery, live music from The Dogensteins, and much more.

Remember, costumes are encouraged!

The Downtown Garland Station is served by the Northeast segment of the DART Rail Blue Line. Downtown Garland Station patrons can set their watches by the huge clock tower in a setting where details suggest an old-fashioned train depot, with easy access to Garland's major civic centers and Performing Arts Center, linked by a crosswalk to the Garland Central Transit Center.
